Lebensanschauung Jugendlicher - Philosophies of life

Examples

1) Into which basic categories do you divide everything that exists? (e.g. mortal/immortal, material, spiritual etc.) Why have you specifically selected these categories?
Answer: What is real? How do you know what exists and what doesn’t? If real is what you can feel and touch, then these are just electrical signals interpreted by the brain.  To answer the question I would say tangible and intangible. (Dave, 17)

2) Is there an empirically unproven reality? If so, what is it made up of? (e.g. angels, souls, ghosts, God etc.)
Answer:
I believe in God - he is made up of my soul and faith and everything else that follows him. He made us, we make him.

3) Did the world develop coincidentally or is there some kind of plan behind it? Back up your ideas with any evidence you have.
Answer: Plan - I do not believe that things happen just by coincidence.

4) Do humans possess any qualities that animals do not have at all?
(e.g immortality, a special kind of soul, certain faults or gifts)
Answer:
We are all animals! Different animal species have different physical and mental properties. Humans pssess the most intelligent minds on the planet.

5) Are there any innate differences between women and men? What are they?
Answer:
Yes, women can give life and so can appreciate creation, men take life away and so can appreciate existence.

6) Is the world developing in a particular direction? (e.g. progress, destruction)
Answer:
I think the world is progressing but in many years to come I think human numbers will fall and this cycle will repeat itself.

7) How do you see the future of the earth? Does it move you? Explain why?
Answer: I believe that the world will continue to get more advanced with people living in increasing happiness. It moves me to hope, and I believe that the human race will prosper.

8) How do you see the future of our society (nationally)? Does it move you? Explain why?
Answer:
Nationally society will stay the same - it doesn't move me. However, as normal, things like human fashions will change.

9) How do you see the future of mankind? Does it move you? Explain why?
Answer:
Mankind will become more civilised, but fighting will go on. We will become more politically, socially, financially aware, but less traditionally, culturally aware.

10) How do you see your future?
Anwers: I will be another cog in the system. Get a job, have fun in life - reproduce, excrete, move, sense, eat, drink, breathe, grow and die!(Hopefully when I'm around 85).

11) What do you think about your own death, the death of those close to you and the death of unknown people?
Answer: I am not worried abut my own death, as If there is an afterlife then I will not really   die, and if here is nothing, then it will not matter. The death of those around me, however, does worry me as while I don’t worry for my self, I do for others. (
Dave, 17)

12. What is necessary in order to lead a satisfied life?
Anwer:
Respect for others' wishes and to follow your inspirations and dreams.

13) What is needed in order to create a good society as well as good life for all?
Answer: Life is imbalanced with the variety of different people creating the interest. When people want different things, you cannot create a perfect society, hence the name utopia or impossible paradise.(Dave, 17)

14. To what extent is it possible to carry out Good?
Answer:
Although I percieve things as good or bad, theoretically I don't think there is such a thing as good or bad unless it is said in the Bible (my opinion).

15. Is there anything that drives the striving of humans more strongly than everything else? (e.g. maximum personal happiness, morality etc.)
Answer:
To provide a better future for your children - that's progress in every direction.

16. Are humans good, bad or something in between? Is it possible to describe humans with any other terms?
Answer: Can be both good and bad and cannot be described in any other way.

17. How do we know what is good or bad, right or wrong? How is this knowledge acquired?
Answer:
We don't, but because we live in a balanced society, it requires us to deliver laws in order to keep society like it is because that is what we like.

18. Is there something objectively Good or Evil? Please back up your opinion.
Answer:
Depends on circumstance. Money isn't evil but the love of money is.

19) Does truth exist? Can it be found? If so, how and where?
Answer: Truth is only a theory as life is never one thing or the other. However, if we have not found truth, does that mean that life is a lie? If that is so, do we exist? (Dave, 17)

20. What coins/shapes your attitude to life as a whole? (e.g. optimism, pessimism etc.)
Answer:
Try to look at the good side of things.
