NEW EVENT ADDED TO ALL STAR WEEK END

As every year, the NBA gathers the best players of the league for a whole week end of show time. This year on February 9^th, the event will take place in Philadelphia, it’s such a big organisation to manage all these NBA stars and the different parts of the show. First there is the Rookie game, it’s a match more and more spectacular every year played by the new players who have just entered the NBA, you can see them jumping but they never get back on the playground, so if you want to enjoy this game, carry with you your binoculars because everything happens in the sky. Then the shooting contest, there you will see the best three points shooters in the world! And the two last shows which gather the most basket ball fans are the all star game where the best NBA players are divided into two teams for a very spectacular game, and finally, the ‘slam-dunk contest’ is organised for the NBA high flying jumpers who have to realise the best tricks in the air before smashing the ball, this is a dreaming week end for those who enjoy basket ball !

Moreover, this year a new event is added to this show: the ‘all star hoop it up’, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament in which will feature four teams consisting of one NBA player, one WNBA player (women league), one NBA legend and one celebrity on the bench able to substitute for one another. They will play on half-court. A lot of well known people will participate like Spike Lee, Jack Nicolson (if he is still able to), Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kevin Spacey, Edward Norton and many others.

I wish I lived in America, insofar as I would not miss that incredible event. I used to play basket-ball when I was younger and I still practice it occasionally.

I ‘ve seen twice NBA games in Paris already , but it’s very rare that American players come to France. What I found the most attractive is the atmosphere the show conveys, my father who is not a basket-ball fan agreed to say that it was such a beautiful show. I’m keen on basket-ball, this sport is very attractive, what I enjoy is that you need to be strong and skilful with your hands, unfortunately for me, only gifted players will play in the NBA league, too bad for my child wish...
