Pont du chemin de fer à Argenteuil, by Claude Monet

I have chosen to describe the " Pont du chemin de fer à Argenteuil " which was painted by Claude Monet in 1873. Claude Monet was an impressionist painter, he was born in Paris in 1840 and he died in Giverny in 1926.
First, not only is it beautiful but it also stands for France owing to the fact that on the one hand it epitomises nature with the river and the grass and on the other hand it symbolises technology with the railway bridge and it goes without saying that Claude Monet is the symbol of the French painters, therefore I have chosen this painting.
My first impression is this painting is mainly formed with blue and white.
ln the foreground, we come across two persons and a railway bridge. We are led to suppose the two persons are watching for the sailing boats. We can see the fumes of vapour of the train even if it gets confused with the clouds.
In the background, we both come across a little village and a forest.
As a conclusion, this painting points out that France not only mixes different cultures but it also mixes different environments.
