COMENIUS WEEK 2004 IN FRANCE

Reports

The Delegation from Ploiesti

Sambata :

Am ajuns in Paris aproximativ la ora 10:00. Am sosit in Montargis in jurul orei 21:00, unde ne-au intampinat gazdele noastre.

Duminica:

Marti :

Miercuri :

Joi :

Liceul a organizat o excursie in vechiul Bourges, unde am vizitat Palatul Jacques Cœur si catedrala orasului.

Sambata :

Plecarea spre Romania.

Saturday :

We arrived in Paris at approximatively 10 :00 a.m.Because we had to wait for the other delegations to come ( the delegation from Germany arrived only at 6:00 p.m.), we took advantage of our free time and, together with the English group,we wandered through Paris, admiring the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, The Arch of Triumph and the Champs-Elysée.We arrived in Montargis at about 9:00 p.m. where we were greeted by our hosts.

Sunday:

We spent the day with our hosts, each having a different programme(Paris/Fountainebleau).Thus, we socialized better with the French, whom we found very hospitable and friendly. In the evening we had plenty of time to relax and exchange impressions with the hosting families.

Monday:

This was the first day we spent at Lycée-en-Foret, together with the other groups. The local ones suggested various activities through which we managed to find out more about the participant countries. We began by presenting our own country, revealing the custom of the “martisor”( everyone was very excited when offered the small symbols of spring – the “martisor” cords) then, by the means of a game, we had to prove to the others our knowlegde concerning their countries.

After havinh lunch in the highschool cantine together with the French students, we assisted two classes in French and German.

Tuesday:

We created a “Jeu de l’Oie”, in which we illustrated symbols of the different European towns & countries, continuing by testing the game we had just created.

In the afternoon we exchanged jokes and cartoons, then completed a questionnaire among the French students, concerning issues of the integration in the UE.

Wednesday:

Although the weather was not perfect, the orienteering around the bridges of Montargis, turned out to be very funny. Everything was like a contest, the ones who managed to answer all the questions ( concerning French and English history) being awarded on Friday. The day continued with a visit to the Girodet Museum, where we had the opportunity to admire the wonderful exhibits of the painter.

We spent the rest of the afternoon with our hosts, either in Paris, or in Orléans.

Thursday:

The highschool organized a trip to the ancient Bourges, where we visited the Jacques Coeur Palace and the local cathedral. We also had time to wander about the medieval streets of the city, full of both traditional and modern shops.

In the evening, we went bowling with the other foreign students.

Friday:

We exchanged ideas concerning the globalization, mixed groups trying to discover international words. After that, we had to write an account of the European Week in France.

After lunch, there will be a karaoke, followed by a farewell party.

Saturday:

Departures.
